Okay

Now that's just cool.

Haha. Wow.

This was somewhat... unexpected. Chill, but still dubby. Very nice. You should tell me when this is finished, I'd definitely like to hear the rest of it if there's any more~. I like the feel of it; the title is very fitting, I might add. What sound did you use for the main melody?

Impressive

I have to say, I can't help but hearing all of the technical work you did here. Beyond just phasing, every sound seems to have a purpose. Everything really adds to the feeling of the song very well. I find that's the hardest thing to do most of the time, to be diverse and creative, yet focused. I don't understand why there aren't more reviews and comments.

What I like the most: technical work, variety, integration of styles. Especially when the drumbeat switches from half to quarter beats. Gives it a lot of calm energy that most songs lack.
One of the background melodies that keep popping up. It's some electric arpeggination that phases in and out. That I feel emphasizes the tone the most.

Improve upon: Not much. You get your point across very well. There are lots of instrument and voices you use, but the melody I feel could change up a bit more sometimes. It's amazing the way it is, but staying on it for too long perhaps isn't overly advisable.
Perhaps you could use a high, loud reverb snare? I feel like there should be something more to make the song pop. I know it's supposed to be chill, but it's just a personal opinion. It sounds a little too well blended, if that's even possible.

Downloaded! Fantastic song. Make more, please~

Just cuz it's so awesome~

This has to be like, one of the three songs on Newgrounds that people just HAVE to listen to. My favorite dubstep song, if not one of my favorites overall.
The introduction, just kills you from the start. You don't think it can get any better, then all of a sudden.... BAM dubstep in your face.
My favorite thing, however, is near the middle, when it goes quiet and ambient, and you bring back that soft, high lead. Sounds like a cry of pain. Absolutely love it.
Okay I'm done~
Make more like this! I love the loud "Yayayaya" part. I guarantee I'll download it, 5/5 it and 10/10 it if you do~ It's too bad there arent' more songs like this, my mp3 player wouldn't have any more extra space if there were~ =/

mr-jazzman responds:

Haha whoa that's a huge compliment my friend! Thank you! Yeah, that little ambient part is definitely my favorite part too. Thanks again man! =D

Wwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Pretty cool pretty cool.
I did like the wubz xD. They were placed pretty well, and came in just like how I like them to.
However, (and perhaps I'm just being too critical or retarded, don't take any offense) I was expecting some more interesting composition throughout the song.
The carol bells has so much potential for remixing, and remastering and changing that I felt there's a lot more potential to how it could be! I love how you did the electronic beep when the wubz came in. But as for the rest of it, there's just not much variety, nothing deviating beyond the original melody significantly enough to give this enough of a dubstep feeling. Then again, I could just be completely retarded so please don't take offense. I really like it! Hence the 10. Just, there's so much more I feel you could do to just melt my face off with bass and saws and wobbles. Good luck~

Breed responds:

Oh I hear ya, very easily able to put more original work into it. I was trying to go for a more conventional cover approach then a total remix. I appreciate your input though! Maybe I'll extend it a little bit and add some more interested harmony and melodic lines. Who would know right?

Cheers!

You, good sir, understand perfectly

You don't know how much I've been looking for a song that just, smashes you in the face with bass. I'm glad I found what I was looking for.
Keep up the awesome work, and don't ever, ever let up on the epic/awesomeness factor.

mr-jazzman responds:

Dude...thank you so much! If you liked the (rather lacking) bass in this remaster, then you will absolutely shitbrix once you hear my current project! I CANNOT WAIT TO UNVEIL IT; it is going to revolutionize dubstep as we know it. Thanks for the review man; it's because of people like you that I continue to keep pushing the boundaries! >=D

Pretty cool

Definately lots of potential! I'm sure you are already makin g a lot of headway.
I personally prefer my piano sounds to be softer, and it seems like there are some (intentional) compression issues? I could just be crazy.
But yes, nice song!

ForeverJustTonight responds:

I agree, It definitely has potential we just have to work hard to get it. There might be compression issues but maybe im crazy as well! haha.
Thanks for the review bob6294! Appreciate it man.

Nice bass

I agree, it could definately use some high-register lead.
I like the vocals!
Just a personal preference, but I like epic buildups during instrumentals, so perhaps add an instrument or change up something during the first instrumental, and at the final instrumental?
But again, purely personal preference.
Overall pretty awesome~
And of course, nice bassline

gavkay21 responds:

Thanks for the sound advice

Very calming with undertones of sadness.

I can just picture hearing this in a movie or something where a guy is standing alone near a lake or ocean and just staring out, contemplating the miseries of his life.
What I love the most is how you contrast the sad and disjoint tones with a more hopeful feel, then bring the listener right back to sadness. I love it. Nice sounds~

Just thought this deserved a higher average rating

So it should average out in the long run. I like it. A bit repetative, and it would be awesome with a transition, bridge, or some dynamic change, but again, this isn't the full song so yes, continue on!
I prefer a bit more variety in my songs~ Perhaps add another instrument? I like how the sounds are and their tones currently tho~
I look forward to a completed version~ Good luck! Keep up the good work.
